Ask about security insuranceCalifornia’s Bureau of Security and Investigative Services says a licensed private patrol operator must maintain general liability insurance of at least $1 million per occurrence and provide a certificate to the Bureau. A client contract may call for different or higher limits, additional insured terms, or other policies. Review the actual license and contract requirements before choosing coverage.
